Year 5 Camp Night
On Thursday 1st May 2025, Year Five are invited to stay in school for an amazing camp night with myself, their new teachers and other staff and ‘The Outdoors People’!
The Outdoors People provide outstanding camping experiences for school children across the UK. They have many years of experience creating and delivering camps, an excellent safety record, and are passionate about delivering the very best camps for primary-aged children. In planning this opportunity, I have spoken with The Outdoors People and have been impressed with their organisation, energy and optimism. I can’t wait to welcome them to Meadows.
At our overnight camp, the children will work together to put up their tents, play energetic games with a giant kin-ball, toast marshmallows, sing songs around the campfire, and have an amazing night under the stars with their friends. During the next day, the children will participate in a range of exciting educational activities and challenges. This will include learning to make fires, taking part in a bush-tucker challenge(!), cooking over an open fire, purifying muddy water into tasty hot chocolate, and much more!
This promises to be an exceptional opportunity for Year Five. Their values will be tested, teamwork strengthened and new relationships forged; all of which will support them as they embark on Year Six!
