Mrs Lydia FarnhamLocal Authority Governor, Co-Chair of Governors, EYFS, Children in Care
Mrs Lydia Farnham
I am a born and bred Telford local, although I studied and lived in Leeds and London before returning to Telford and starting a family.
Having trained and worked professionally in Musical Theatre, I went on to complete my formal teacher training at secondary and sixth form level, teaching Performing Arts in schools and colleges across the West Midlands.
I then moved into more administrative roles in order to improve the balance between work life and family life.
This year, in addition to co-Chairing the Full Governing Board, I am a member of the Finance and Personnel Committee, the Curriculum and Standards Committee and also the 'link Governor' for EYFS and Children in Care. -
Mrs Yasmin HughesParent Governor, Co-Chair, Safeguarding & Attendance
Mrs Yasmin Hughes
I’m Yasmin, but most people will know me as Yaz.
I have two daughters, both of whom attend Meadows.
I have always lived in Telford and attended Meadows myself (except it was called Ketley Town Infants and Junior School back then). I currently work as a HR Officer, but before that, I was an English teacher for over a decade.
I wanted to become a school governor because I have a passion for education and want to be part of the exciting journey that Meadows is on.
This year, in addition to co-chairing the Full Governing Board, I am a member of the Finance and Personnel Committee, the Curriculum and Standards Committee and also the 'link Governor' for Safeguarding & Attendance -
Mr Ben GoddardVice-Chair of Governors
Mr Ben Goddard
I have lived in Telford all my life and I have worked in education for 15 years. I am currently an Assistant Principal for an academy in Stoke-On-Trent. In my career I have taken many roles, from an unqualified teacher, head of department, trust-wide director with a great passion for teaching mathematics. The reason I became a teacher was to encourage young people to reach their potential and inspire the next generation. I have a daughter attended Meadows and my son is currently in Year 6. It is an exciting time for the school and I look forward to working as a parent governor, alongside the school, on its journey.
This year, in addition to the Full Governing Board, I am a member of the Health, Safety and Site Standards Committee. -

As Headteacher of Meadows Primary School and Nursery, I attend all Governors meetings where I respond to critical friendship from our Governors board. It is only through their support and challenge that our vision and motto - Aspire, Grow, Flourish - can be truly brought to life.

Register of Business Interests for 2024 to 2025:
Governing bodies are under a duty to publish their register of interests. The register should set out the relevant business interests of governors and details of any other educational establishments they govern. The register should also set out any relationships between governors and members of the school staff including spouses, partners and relatives.
