Values

What is the intent of Values-based Education at Meadows?

Values are principles which guide our thinking and behaviour. They underpin and combine with our Meadows Expectations and Curriculum to ensure that socially and morally our children are enabled to aspire, grow and flourish in their lives.

What is Values-Based Education?

Our Values based education strives to create a strong learning environment that enhances academic attainment, and develops students' social and relationship skills that last throughout their lives. The positive learning environment is achieved through the positive values modelled by staff throughout the school.  It also provides social capacity to students, equipping them with social and relationship skills, intelligences and attitudes to succeed at school and throughout their lives.

Our values, which are considered in depth during assemblies and throughout our day, also have a positive impact on our pupils' learning and our school community. The ethos of this education supports and encourages us all to celebrate success, promote high self-esteem and support reflection. This is successful because our whole school team are committed to weaving the principles into their school day.

The values we are focusing on each month are shared in Meadows Mail, on ClassDojo, on our School X account and on our website.

Which values are you learning about this year?

How can I celebrate my child showing their values beyond the school?
