Pupil Premium Grant Is additional funding that the Government gives to
mainstream and special schools England to help children from low income
families. The Pupil Premium Grant must be used to help eligible pupils reach
their full potential both, academically and socially, and the school will decide
the best way to spend this money.
At Meadows Primary School, staff and governors work together to carefully plan
how we allocate funding according to the needs of the children.
The Pupil Premium allocation of funds for Meadows Primary School and Nursery
for this financial year is £134,100. The Pupil Premium money is used to employ
additional staff including teachers, teaching assistants, Inclusion Manager, and
the Educational Welfare Officer to support children and their families that are
entitled to the funding. Timetables and support programmes have been organised
to meet the individual needs of the children throughout the school.
Funding is also used for behaviour support, trips and visits, equipment and clubs
where they will support pupils and remove barriers to their learning.
