World Book Day 2023

Class 12 celebrated World Book Day by either dressing as their favourite book character or wearing their pyjamas.  We have a few budding writers in Class 12, and one of them shared their latest story with the class at the end of the day.

Black History Month 2022

Attending a workshop at school.

Class 12 attended a workshop organised by the Multicultural Team at Telford and Wrekin Council.  They learned about the history of the Commonwealth and explored some of the musical instruments from this diverse mix of nations.

Learning about North America.

Making maps of North America and researching the climate.

Class 12 produced maps of North America and have been learning about the scale of the continent and some of the countries within it.  They have researched the climate at different locations, which links to their learning about global biomes.

Learning about the Solar System.

The scale of the planets.

Class 12 used their learning from maths to come up with scaled sizes for the distance between the planets.  Each group used a till roll to plot and locate the relative distance of each planet from the Sun.
